Orenthal James “O. J.” Simpson, Justice or Vengeance? Yes.
Like the majority of people in the U.S. I believe O.J. should have been convicted of double homicide, I believe the evidence showed his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The question is, was his conviction and the sentence of 33 years  based solely on the charges of kidnapping and robbery, not based on the thought that “he got away with murder.”  If he were just somebody off the street with no fame and public history, he certainly would have been arrested had he done what O.J. did in that hotel room in Vegas.

The question is would he have been charged with the kidnapping, or some lesser crime. I believe that the charges would have be somewhat reduced, that the D.A. would not have let everyone else off in exchange for testimony. They had the tapes, as the judge said his own words on those recordings were enough to convict him. They did not need the accomplice testimony they could have prosecuted the lot of them for Kidnapping and robbery. I think they would have given all of the defendants reasonable plea bargains and moved on. Anyone convicted of what O.J. Was convicted of, would have gotten a similar sentence, but I doubt any Joe Citizen, found doing what O.J. did would have been charged in the same way.

The District attorney was not going to let an infamous double murderer get away with anything in his jurisdiction.  So this was both Justice and Vengeance.
